Cebas have announced that finalRender will start shipping 28th September 2001. Cebas' raytracer can do all manner of effects, such as global illumination, reflective and refractive caustics, soft (penumbral) shadows, illustration-style rendering, true depth of field, translucency and true blurry reflections.

The renderer is available for 3ds max 4.2, and costs $495 if ordered before November 1st. From November on it will cost $695.
