More people seem to be running around grabbing HDRI images (with thanks to many new digicams' RAW modes);
Vienna at Night

But other than for rendering and all kinds of analysis, HDRI may seem a bit pointless - displaying and printing the lovely snapshots just doesn't work that well.
Here's a nice new paper entered for Siggraph 2002 which addresses this very problem :
