Press Releases | PR - Digimation Announces Head Designer Version 1.5 for 3ds max* & Autodesk VIZ*
New Orleans, LA - November 20, 2002 - Digimation Inc. announced today the immediate availability of Head Designer 1.5 [applied-ideas.com]. Head Designer [digimation.com] 1.5 is a 3ds max plug-in designed to simplify the process of head generation for character modelers using Discreet's 3ds max.

(continued...)

Head Designer was the first, true parametric tool to implement 3D head models as 3ds max primitive objects, version 1.5 extends the functionality of this useful plug-in with more base models and more parametric controls. Users select one of the thirteen baseline head models, and then customize it by clicking and dragging on the facial features to adjust the preset parametric controls. Head Designer 1.5 also offers the ability to add standard max modifiers to further tailor your creations. This method of character modeling makes it possible to create a head in minutes, making Head Designer 1.5 an ideal tool for fast prototyping and for quickly populating 3D scenes with high quality models.

* Thirteen baseline head models (baseline models include ethnically diverse selection of male and female heads, and a generic child.)
* 58 parametric controls (nose, chin, cheeks, eyes, jaw etc.)
* Ability to further customize the application by additional max modifiers

System Requirements
Platform: 3ds max 3.x, 4.x and 5.x and Autodesk VIZ 3 & 4
