Press Releases | PR - SplutterFish Brazil Rendering System Honored With Animation Magazine's "Seal of Excellence" Award
VENICE, Calif.--Nov. 25, 2002-- SplutterFish LLC, a high-end 3D rendering software solutions provider, today announced that its Brazil Rendering System™ has been honored by leading industry publication Animation Magazine, with its "Seal of Excellence Award."

(continued...)

According to Bijan Tehrani, digital editor at Animation Magazine, the "Seal of Excellence" award was launched nearly two years ago to offer its professional readership a clear judgement about the best animation products on the market and provide a service to those involved in technology purchasing decisions. Each month the magazine receives requests to review between fifteen-to-twenty products. Of these, approximately six-to-eight are "pre-selected" for review, so that readers will receive information on the best of the products available.

The "Seal of Excellence" measures technologies that have undergone product reviews by the magazine's review staff. Products are judged in a number of key categories -- ease of use, interface, power of tools, quality and depth -- and given a rating from one-to-five points, five being the highest standard. The Award is given to products that receive perfect scores or near-perfect scores in each category.

"The `Seal of Excellence' has been awarded to Brazil r/s because it really deserves it," said Tehrani. "Among all the rendering packages we have tested at the magazine during the last six years, Brazil is without a doubt the fastest of them all.

"But beyond the Award, Brazil's quality and price/performance stands far ahead of any other products in this field," added Tehrani. "While there are products in the same price range, they don't match Brazil on quality. And, likewise, while there are renderers that have the same quality as Brazil r/s, the price is inaccessible to animation artists, especially those working in the gaming industry, one of the fastest-growing segments of the animation market."

"SplutterFish is honored to be recognized by Animation Magazine for product innovation and technical design," said Scott Kirvan, CEO at SplutterFish. "Our key focus is to empower artists with stable and reliable production tools so that they can spend their time creating, not wrestling with technology."

Animation Magazine's review of the Brazil Rendering System will appear in the December issue at which time the Award will be announced. It will also be posted online at www.animationmagazine.net.
