Check out this great short film by Vincent Berger, a French architect who seems to have spent many hours in front of his drawing board. The animated short somehow points to the dawn of art history, when each stroke was believed to have an effect on reality (and the quest for realistic representation began). Not created with Max, but definitely worth checking out.
