Training & DVDs | CG Academy releases new Advanced MAXScript DVD
CG-Academy.net have announced the availability of the first DVD in its Advanced MAXScript series entitled "The Matrix: Explained", a 5 hour long DVD from the MAXScript guru Borislav Petrov (Bobo).

This 5 (!) hours long DVD starts from the simplest element - the Point, goes through the basics of vectors and vector operations, simple trigonometry, barycentric coordinates and ray intersections, matrix transformations and finishes with a fully scripted raytracer implementing all the previously presented knowledge!

The main idea behind this DVD is to show anyone interested in scripting how to use advanced math concepts WITHOUT actually knowing mathematics. The DVD tries to replace the boring theory with practical visual examples and it well-suited for 3D artitst who are notorious for hating math. The peek into the basics of rendering and shading can be seen as an added bonus...
