New Resource | The Area
Autodesk have finally opened the doors of the 'The Area' to the public. The site is intended to function as a centralized repository of 3D-related content created by and for users of Autodesk software. Read on for more.

The new portal looks promising and seems like a great platform that can be further extended in the future. Not all changes have been welcome, however, as many visitors who used to frequent the old Webboard have posted comments stating that the current implementation of the discussion sections at The Area makes it too difficult to read and slow to navigate. Visitors are complaining about the default small font size or the choice of colors as well as the slow response time of the site. Some are asking for a return to the policy of using real names in postings, as was the habit in the old Webboard. Hopefully Autodesk will once again listen to its users, what's being asked is mostly a matter of common sense, and out of a desire to be actually able to use the new site.
