"Hi there, Ive put up some new tutorials for 3dsmax on various particles and effects subjects, one of them is more theory based just demonstrating how to create a fx interface to control your particles that you build for specific effects pipelines. Here I mocked up an effects pipeline for ashing vampires (similar to the effects work I did on blade trinity a couple of years back) but using pflow, and Ive scripted an interface to be able to quickly apply an effects pipeline like that to a new scene in literally seconds."

YOU MAY BE GOOD WITH MAX BUT UR WEBSITE FUNCTIONS SUCK .. NEVER WORKS ! Posted by: 3DHELL at February 13, 2007 05:17 PM Try to be more constructive with your criticism. There's no need to insult people's work. And you'll get a much better response, too. To Allan: maybe things could work better with the tutorials if you made file sizes smaller (different codec?) or split the tutorials into a sequence of files. Posted by: Pablo Hadis at February 13, 2007 07:07 PM I think somebody should refer Allan to an audio compression tutorial before he runs out of bandwidth : ). Posted by: jester at February 13, 2007 07:35 PM Looks like it's too late... :) Can't seem to download the files now.. Posted by: Henrik B. Clausen at February 15, 2007 08:08 AM I downloaded the files just fine. Posted by: Matt Meersbergen at February 21, 2007 05:57 AM ...yeh, Its like posting BMP's, only that they are 2D. Quite inconsiderate of even the average user's time and bandwidth. I watched Tut_FX-Gui.avi, in short, i believe Allan is trying to tell us to use MXS listener more often ? : ). Posted by: ES at February 21, 2007 09:58 AM hey, to allan: where can i find the resources for your tutorials... in special the one with the vampire.. i made the script, but i need the PFlow tree. Posted by: Cristi at February 25, 2007 09:59 AM Hi guys, yeah I find it hard to find time to record any of that stuff, so usually when I do I hit upload and run out the door, but when I get time I'll try to recompress all of these to be smaller. website, same thing, I don't have time to make a pretty site, but hopefully you can cover your eyes long enough to get to what you're after on the page. Hopefully you find the training material useful. -Allan McKay Posted by: Allan McKay at February 26, 2007 07:04 PM Its basically the Uncompressed PCM audio that you seem to be using in all the clips on your site. Posted by: jester at February 27, 2007 12:39 PM I had no problem in downloading the tutes. Thanks heaps Allan. Posted by: mjranim at February 27, 2007 08:01 PM |
