News | Microsoft announces touch-based PC
(Updated June 12, 2007) More information posted on Microsoft's upcoming multi-touch based PC. Also of note, here's a link to a previous Bit-tech.net article that discusses research on multi-touch panels and transparent interfaces. According to the article Apple "is reported to have filed some interesting multi-touch patents", so we may be seeing some healthy competition soon.
Getting rid of the physical mouse and keyboard is only a matter of time, and one more step toward this goal was taken recently. Read the details at News.com.
