28.04.2022 A modifier that blurs the vertex colours (or any mapping channel). This is conceptually much like the blur routine in the Vertex Paint modifier, but as a modifier. The Max 2009 (and higher) version can convert a stack vertex selection to vertex colours (allowing it to be used as a mask in a material etc.). |

28.04.2022 Surface Morph allows you to do surface based morphing: rather than calculate a deformation in object space, the deformation is calculated in surface space which is independent of the current pose. This means you can do things like morph above deformation modifiers in the stack. For example you can deform/skin a low resolution character, then subdivide and morph up wrinkles or other deformations on the animated high res mesh, using morph targets created with the high resolution mesh. |

25.10.2019 This modifier allows you to store the the current status of the modifier stack. Basically you can collapse the modifier stack while keeping the history of the stack. If you choose to save the cached data in the scene file, it will make file size bigger, but if the stack requires heavy calculation, this modifier will make scene loading a lot faster. So you cache the current modifier stack, disable all modiers below and save the cache with the max file, which will make demanding MCG modifiers load at lightspeed. It can also be used for replacing the current mesh in the modifier-stack. If you cache an object with this modifier and paste it as an instanced modifier onto other object, that object will get the mesh from the modifier which is caching. |
