mrVolumeShader comes bundled with the Volume Node plugin which brings volume modelling/rendering capabilities to Max.

At the moment Volume Node supports the following different display modes via the volume ray casting algorithm (more will follow in the future):
- Direct Volume Rendering (DVR)
- Isosurface rendering
- Maximum Intensity Projection (MIP)
