It may seem like it was only half a year ago that 3ds Max 2008 (10) was announced.. and that's because it was. Today, Autodesk announced 3ds Max 2009 and 3ds Max Design 2009 (formerly Autodesk VIZ). Edit: Slight bit more information on Ken Pimentel's blog
