The Universal Material Converter is an enhanced version of the old Autodesk Material Converter script for converting materials between render engines. It not only converts materials between the different render engines, it also converts textures as much as possible (eg. bitmaps to Corona bitmaps or VRayDirtmap to CoronaAO). Currently supported render engines are: MentalRay, V-Ray, iRay, Corona and Scanline, with support for Maxwell Render and Octane coming soon.
It comes with an installer, an automatic render engine check, can turn duplicate materials into instances, and has an option to bake procedural textures to bitmaps when converting to Standard material, especially useful when exporting for VR engines.
Universal Material Converter is available for Max 2012 to 2016 and costs €79.
